This is where you decide what you want your employees to learn and, in close consultation with you, LSI prepares the program you require. Here are a few recent briefs received and missions accomplished:

• Review written legal contracts with lawyers requiring linguistic assistance – a teacher with a legal background (and, if possible, experience) required.
• Improve communication between foreign building workers having difficulty understanding their Swiss site managers – job specific vocabulary to be extended, elementary Q&A skills to be fine-tuned.
• Set up and maintain an online platform allowing staff across Europe to log in to a daily language activity and share their experience, weekly feedback required.
• Train Swiss IT employees to better communicate when videoconferencing with Indian counterparts, thereby avoid common social & intercultural pitfalls.

Two of the most popular requests have now become standard services: the Corporate Assessment & the Corporate Lunch.

Corporate Assessment

Using our online platform Test Drive, LSI assesses the foreign language levels of your staff and provides a detailed evaluation based on European Language Portolio standards. The online tests can be done in a controlled environment at work or on a private pc, laptop or other mobile device. In the case where a candidate‘s test score falls directly between two levels, a brief telephone interview carried out by our language experts brings clarity.

Corporate Lunch

One of our language teachers joins the members of your staff for lunch. During lunch the trainer will moderate discussions in the target language, include all participants and provide assistance or correction when required. Usually, the trainer sends a link to each participant 24 hours in advance containing information of the topic (or topics) to be dicussed. Corporate lunches generally focus on themes of common interest (current affairs etc.) but can also be primed to address relevant business or other subjects.
